Kittery’s critically acclaimed Threshold Stage Company presents Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Mamet’s explosive masterpiece “American Buffalo” at the Star Theatre.
Universally acclaimed as one of the best plays of the Twentieth Century, “American Buffalo” is a hard-hitting, compelling and incendiary play of friendship and loyalty versus business and greed perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of humor. The action revolves around three men plotting a crime of misguided revenge. The subsequent discussions and in-fighting progressively undermine their plan; devolving into ever increasing tension, suspicion, anger and violence.
A cast of top regional actors, Allan Mayo, Peter Motson and Griffinn Gower, under the expert direction of award-winning director Heather Glenn Wixson brilliantly create and inhabit the gritty and volatile dog eat dog world of Mamet’s “American Buffalo” where things aren’t always what they seem.
