Adult Trips


The Kittery Community Center would like to announce that we are now taking registrations for the following adult trips. All registrations must be done at the Community Center-120 Rogers Rd., or online at as we no longer accept phone registrations.


Handicapped accessible and extremely comfortable, our buses make travelling on our wonderful trips an even better experience!

Bowdoin College Museum of Art - Brunswick, ME

Join us as we travel to Brunswick, ME and explore the beautiful art and architecture of this renown museum.  We will have a guided tour of one of Maine's oldest and most important art institutes.  There will be time to explore on your own as well.  Afterwards, we will eat lunch along the shores of the beautiful Androscoggin River at Seadog Brew Pub.

When: Wednesday, February 8
  Leave KCC at 9:45am, Return approximately 3:00pm
Cost: $10/transportation & admission.

Maine Flower Show - Portland, ME

Produced by the Maine Landscape and Nursery Association, this show has more garden displays, more exhibits, more planting and outdoor living inspiration than any other local show.  Sixteen display gardens with 100 exhibits of plants, hardscape, arbor and garden supplies, and all things related to outdoor yardscaping and living.  Lunch will be at Cracker Barrel after exploring the show.

  Leave KCC at 9:00am, Return approximately 3:00pm
Cost: $15/transportation & admission.

Portamouth Naval Shipyard Tour - Kittery, ME

This tour begins at the Community Center, where a PNSY bus will pick us up.  The base historian will lead the tour and we will make stops at the Naval Prison, the Peace Treaty room, as well as have extended time at the PNSY museum.  Limited to the first 30 people that register by April 7.  Security paperwork will need to be filled out and proper ID brought that day.

  Leave KCC at 9:45am, Return approximately 12pm
Cost: FREE
  Must pre-register by April 7

DeCordova Sculpture Park & Museum - Lincoln, MA

Established in 1950, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is the largest park of its kind in New England.  The park offers large-scale, outdoor, modern and contemporary sculpture and istallations.  Inside, the Museum features a robust slate of rotating exhibitions and innovative interpretive programming.  We will have a guided tour of the museum and grounds.  Lunch at The Cheesecake Factory after the visit.

Pickity Place - Mason, NH

Since 1786, this quaint little red cottage has graced the hills of southern NH, seemingly untouched by time.  Today it is a mecca for gardeners, foodies, and anyone looking for inspiration and relaxation.  We will enjoy a five-course gourmet lunch and then have time to shop and walk the beautiful grounds and gardens.

Cost: $40/transportation & gourmet lunch.

Lighthouse Lovers Cruise - Portland, ME

Enjoy this narrated 90-minute scenic cruise through busy Casco Bay and its innermost islands to see lighthouses, forts, lobster boats, seals, and seabirds.  Four lighthouses can be seen including a close-up view of Maine's oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light.  So come aboard, take in the salt air and spectacular sights, while enjoying the best narrated cruise around!  We'll stop for lunch at Demillo's after the cruise.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - Boothbay, ME

One of Maine's premier attractions, we will explore this 270 acre garden spectacle.  Enjoy a coach bus ride up to beautiful Boothbay and after taking in the sites, we will enjoy a lunch right at the gardens!  You do not want to miss the beautiful flowers, sculptures, water features, and more!

When: Wednesday, June 21
  Leave KCC at 7:00am, Return approximately 5:00pm
Cost: $75/coach bus transportation, admission and lunch.

The Color Purple at Shubert Theatre
